HBO Original Series The Sopranos Final Season Prop Bets - Bodog.com - Sopranos Season 6 Wagers

HBO is broadcasting the final season of the HBO Original Series "The Sopranos". There are nine episodes left. That means big events are about to start happening. It's a show about the mob, so somebody's gotta get whacked. Frankly, more than one is likely to go down.

Bodog.com has couple of proposition bets for the 6th season of The Sopranos. One deals with the first person to get assassinated in the final half of the final season. The second has to do with whether Tony lives through the finale.

Which character will be the first to get "whacked" in the second part of Season 6 (the final season) of The Sopranos?

Vince Curatola - John "Johnny Sack" Sacrimoni - 1/1
Dominic Chianese - Corrado "Junior" Soprano - 3/1
Tony Sirico - Peter Paul "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri - 4/1
Michael Imperiolo - Christopher Moltisanti - 4/1
Frank Vincent - Phil Leotardo - 6/1
Steven Van Zandt - Silvio "Sil" Dante - 8/1
James Gandolfini - Anthony "Tony" Soprano - 10/1
Aida Turturro - Janice Soprano - 10/1
Robert Ller - Anthony "A.J." Soprano, Jr. - 13/1
Lorraine Bracco - Dr. Jennifer Melfi - 14/1
Jamie-Lynn Sigler - Meadow Mariangela Soprano - 18/1
Edie Falco - Carmela Soprano - 20/1

Will Tony Soprano get whacked in the final season of the Sopranos?

+300 - Yes
-500 - No

This is one of those bets where you probably take the sure bets. Johnny Sack and Junior are the big bosses, so I imagine either of them could go at any time. With the end of the series coming, I imagine one of the longtime seconds will ascend to the full leadership position. It's a classic way to turn up the drama.

Since Junior is 3-to-1, that might be the best bet. We might see Tony finally achieve his ambition of becoming top man for the DiMeo crime family, though this might not happen until the last episode or two.

On the other hand, the series might end with Tony getting whacked. This is a violent show that's going to try to have a dramatic ending. So I imagine Tony is going in one direction or the other. He's either headed to the top of the pyramid, or he's heading to a grave. The problem is, Tony won't die until the last couple of episodes, and you know someone else will die before then. So don't bet Tony.

You know that either Johnny Sack or Phil Leotardo are going to die. As the main antagonists throughout the series, it's natural for the writers to have one of these guys take a fall. In the case of the Lupertazzi crime family, it wouldn't surprise me too much to see both Johnny and Phil get whacked.

The problem is, you have to choose who the first person to get killed will be. If two get killed at the same time, all bets are off. One of the Lupertazzi family or Junior dying is a perfect way to touch off the events leading up to the finale, so I'm certain these are the people to go after.

Of course, one of the junior members might get killed, touching off a final crisis. This is so likely, that it's hard to ignore. That's the other way the story could go, with both sides reacting to this latest provocation.

Once again, it wouldn't surprise me to see Dr. Jennifer Melfi be killed. We are talking about an outsider with rare insight into the criminal underworld, so she strikes me as a likely final target. This also might signal a new phase in Tony's life, a kind of resolution of his psychological issues. But I don't see this happening until late, so I don't think Melfi is a good choice for the purposes of this wager.

Whatever the case, I look forward to seeing the full resolution of the storyline. At the very least, this will be a fun set of proposition wagers to see play out.
