Poker Players Alliance to Hold Webcast on April 12th- Talk with Al D'Amato
Do you want to see the government take away your right to play poker? If your answer is “no,” then you might want to consider joining the Poker Players Alliance. The PPA is a nonprofit organization made up of both serious and recreational poker players from all over the United States. These men and woman have joined together to promote poker, ensure the integrity of the game, and make sure that the rights of poker players are protected. The organization has really picked up steam as of late, with the PPA membership more than doubling over the past couple of months. They now boast over 320,000 members, and their ultimate goal is the 1 million member mark.
On Thursday, April 12th, the PPA will hold a webcast with their new Chairman of the Board, former three-term New York Senator Al D’Amato. The webcast will be held at 3pm EST and is open to all PPA members. If you’re not currently a member, you can go to pokerplayersalliance.org and sign up for free.
D’Amato will now serve as the public face of the organization. He’ll also be bringing his decades of experience in the political process to the table. If you’re trying to defend yourself against the government, who better to have on your side than someone who worked in the government for years?
During the webcast, the former Senator will speak on the general state of federal issues that face poker, as well as what the PPA is doing about each of these. You will also be able to send e-mail questions before and during the webcast, with D’Amato responding live to select questions.
If you care about your right to play poker, be sure to join up and attend the webcast. Otherwise, poker might just go the way of online gambling.
