Proposition Bet - FBI 10 Most Wanted List - Who will be Captured First?

Proposition Bets are everywhere. In fact, it seems as though you can bet on nearly anything that you can imagine. From sports figures to celebrity wife beaters, I thought every possible category was covered. Boy, was I wrong.

You see, I completely forgot about felons. Luckily, BetUs.com didn’t. That’s right. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you’ll be able to wager on which member of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List will be captured next.

Trying to predict this sort of outcome is probably just a crapshoot, but I decided to go ahead and include some info on each of these villains, just in case. If nothing else, maybe reading this will allow you to learn what they look like, identify one of them out in public, and then claim the sizeable reward. If that happens, I certainly expect my cut.

Anyway, here they are. I guess I should also mention that all of these men should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. If you see them, call the police. Do NOT approach them.

1. Osama Bin Laden - Militant Islamist and the founder of al-Qaeda. Indicted in U.S. federal court for involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya. Although he has not been indicted for the 9-11 attacks, he has taken responsibility for them.

Odds: +2000

2. Diego Leon Montoya Sanchez - Also known as Diego Leon or Don Diego. Colombian crime boss. He is wanted for money laundering, conspiracy to import and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, drug trafficking, conspiracy to distribute or manufacture cocaine abroad. A reward of 5 million dollars is offered for information leading to his arrest or conviction.

Odds: +800

3. James J. Bulger - Wanted fugitive and leader of the Winter Hill Gang, an Irish-American crime family based in the Boston area. He is wanted for racketeering, murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit extortion, narcotics distribution, conspiracy to commit money laundering and extortion, and money laundering.

Odds: +500

4. Robert William Fisher - Suspected of murdering his wife and two children on April 10th, 2001 in Scottsdale, Arizona. His house burned down, and it is believed that this was due to a rigged gas connection. Inside the rubble, his children (ages 10 and 12) were found with their throats slit, and his wife had been shot in the head. Police wanted to question him on the matter, but he disappeared and has not been seen since.

Odds: +800

5. Victor Manuel Gerena - Linked to the armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank. He was placed on this list in 1984, making him the man to have spent the second longest amount of time on the list (Donald Eugene Webb holds the distinction). He is known to have lived in Cuba at some point.

Odds: +1000

6. Jorge Alberto Lopez-Orozco - Wanted for the murder of a woman and her two children (ages 2 and 4) in Elmore County, Idaho.

Odds: +700

7. Emigdio Preciado, Jr. - Wanted for firing on two sheriff’s deputies in Los Angeles in 2000. He is believed to be in Mexico. A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for his capture.

Odds: +1000

8. Richard Steve Goldberg - Wanted for the production and possession of child pornography, as well as child molestation.

Odds: +600

9. Glen Stewart Godwin - Escaped from Folsom Prison where he was serving a 25-year-to-life sentence. Guilty of murder. Captured by Mexican officials, but escaped from one of their prisons after killing an inmate. Believed to be involved in the drug trade somewhere in Latin America. $100,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his capture.

Odds: +600

Yes, I realize that there are only 9 on the list instead of 10. This was all that BetUs.com had listed. I guess the other guy got captured at the last minute.

I’m going to be betting on this one myself. Even if I don’t pick the correct one, seeing any of these creeps captured will somehow still feel like a win.
