Man Killed by Bomb in Las Vegas!

Early Monday morning, a device exploded in the parking garage of the pyramid-shaped Luxor hotel-casino in Las Vegas, killing a man who tried to remove the item from the top of his car.

The device detonated shortly after 4am, according to police spokesman Officer Bill Cassell. He would not elaborate on the nature of the device, but he did refute earlier reports which placed the device inside a backpack.

"We believe the victim of this event was the intended target," Cassell said. He went on to add that the case was being treated as a homicide, and that another person with the victim escaped injury and was cooperating fully with the police.

While the victim did work inside the Luxor, he was not employed by the company. At this time, no threats have been made against the hotel-casino.

After the blast, entrances were blocked and all vehicles were searched by bomb-sniffing dogs. Local law enforcement were assisted by agents from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from in and around the two-story structure in the hopes of identifying who planted the device.
