Microgaming Casinos Stop Taking U.S. Bets!
Bad news for fans of Microgaming casinos. According to letters emailed to affiliates, four Microgaming-powered casinos will no longer be accepting U.S. bets as of June 1st. These include Casino Splendido, Roxy Palace, Roxy Poker and Dream Poker.
Microgaming is one of the leading software providers for the online gambling industry, with nearly 100 casinos listed on its website. Casino operators such as 32Red and Ladbrokes have been clients for years.
The standard Microgaming casino has 300 games, including slots, video poker, blackjack and roulette. Progressive jackpots are also offered through their linked network of casinos.
ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION
According to the letter sent out by Roxy Palace, “The contribution of bets from U.S. players currently comprises an insignificant amount to the group and most affiliates have low exposure to that market.”
It went on to say that the site is well-established in non-U.S. foreign language and English speaking markets such as England, France, Germany and the Netherlands. It also mentioned plans to add additional languages within the next month.
The email from Dream Poker was very similar, saying “We are open in numerous markets and offer support and software in the following languages: Danish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Finnish, French, Greek, Norwegian, plus more to come.”
Thanks to the Republicans and their narrow-minded war on the evils of gambling - not to mention their desire to appease campaign contributors from the Indian casinos and Las Vegas interests - we now have four less options when it comes to online gambling. No doubt, God must be very pleased with President Bush.
