Paris Hilton Prop Bets from Bodog

As of late, Paris Hilton’s life has been a real mess. Let’s review.

Last Friday, Hilton appeared in court and was sentenced to a 45-day jail term for parole violation stemming from an alcohol-related driving offense last year. More specifically, her license had been suspended, but she was caught driving by the police.

During the hearing, Hilton told the judge that she had learned her lesson and was sorry. She then went on to blame her publicist, saying that he had told her is was allowable to drive with a suspended license if it fulfilled work obligations. Her publicist even took the stand in her defense, but the judge was less than impressed.

On Sunday, her publicist issued a statement saying that he was no longer representing the blonde heiress and star of television‘s The Simple Life. But by Monday, this decision had already been reversed.

Hilton has posted on her MySpace site and urged everyone to sign an online petition which asks California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to grant her a pardon. So far, the petition has received over 12,000 signatures. Here are a few choice lines from the petition (which was written by a Hilton supporter):

“She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.”

“We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong.”

“She is sincere, apologetic, and full of regret for her actions, as she explained tearfully to the judge handling her case in court yesterday. She is distraught and understandably afraid.”

This farce just keeps getting better and better. Therefore, it’s little wonder that our friends at Bodog have decided to get in on the action by offering a number of Paris Hilton proposition bets. The maximum bet on each of these is $50, but you might as well get some reward for having to be bombarded with this silliness that loosely passes for news.
