Win Free Trips to the World Series of Poker Through Bodog

Bodog offers free trips to the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour circuit tournaments. Simply go to Bodog Poker and select the Tournaments link. Here you will find a schedule of tournaments which provide the winner a chance to move on to professional live tourneys.

WSOP

Bodog has both Sit and Go tournaments and the Multi Table Tournament. There are several entry options.

For $1, you can play in one of the qualifier tourneys. The winner of this event moves into a quarterfinals tournament.

If you want a straight trip to the quarters, you pay a $29 entry fee. Win a quarterfinals event and you get a free trip to the semifinals.

The semifinal entry fee is $270. If you win this tournament, you get a $12,000 all-expense paid trip to the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Actually, "semifinals" is kind of a misnomer. It makes it sound like you have to win another event to get to Las Vegas, but the finals is the Main Event itself.

If you don't have the 12,000-some-odd dollars to buy into the WSOP, plop down your money for a chance to get into the big event. I personally think the $29 tournament is a solid starting level. The price isn't prohibitive, but you have one less level to complete.

THE WPT

Bodog also has a World Poker Tour tournament package. It pretty much follows the same pattern. Buy-ins can be as low a $1, while you can buy your way into a semifinal for a chance to make it to a WPT event.
