Sopranos Final Episode on HBO

The final episode of The Sopranos is this Sunday on HBO. After this weekend, there will be no more new episodes. That means a lot of characters are dying in the finale.

Bodog is taking bets on who survives and who dies in the final episode. If you've been watching these past six seasons and know who will get whacked, you might as well make a bet on it. Here's an example of the wagers at Bodog, though this is hardly the full chalk board.

Does Tony Soprano live through the final episode of The Sopranos?

Yes -300

No +200

Does Phil Leotardo live through the final episode of The Sopranos?

Yes +170

No -250

If either Phil or Tony are killed, which of the two will be killed first?

Phil Leotardo -300

Tony Soprano +200

Does Paulie Walnuts live through the final episode?

Yes -200

No +150

We've been covering this story all season. Bodog has had a huge number of bets involving the Sopranos death spiral. Here are the results of the already-resolved earlier bets, as well as some analysis of the coming finale.

Will Paulie or Christopher die first?

That would be Christopher. He was choked to death by Tony, after Christopher tried to leave the mob and then murdered a writer.

Will Bobby or Silvio die first?

That would be Bobby. After Tony curbed stomped a Lupertazzi crew leader, Leotardo orders the killing of Tony and his men. Bobby is executed, while Silvio winds up in a coma. Tony is in hiding as the final episode begins.

TONY STRIKES BACK

Looks like it's time Tony strike back at Phil Leotardo. Phil's been on a nice killing spree lately, so I'm guessing Tony takes Phil down in this final episode. Take the Phil death bet, if you must, though you'll have to bet a lot to get a little.

WILL TONY LIVE?

This is a tough one. I've heard some speculation that this will be a "life goes on" ending, where Tony goes back to his life of crime and more or less "lives happily ever after." I personally don't see the writers doing that, because it hardly adds resolution to the story of Tony Soprano.

I'm guessing that Tony either takes control of the whole operation, or gets whacked. I would probably lean towards Phil dying and Tony ascending, because the writers will have a hard time killing their favorite character.

DR. MELFI

I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Melfi gets whacked, simply because she knows too much. I wouldn't think that if she had ended her visits from Tony in the final episode. Having this happen in the second to final episode is a little suspicious to me. It implies that there's on last twist. This would certainly underscore the fact that you don't want to be near these people, because the mob life destroys every normal life it touches.

Anyway, I can't wait for this episode. Take you bets now, because you don't have much longer.
