World Series of Poker 2007 - Day 13 Recap

The 2007 World Series of Poker rolls along with three final tables today.
Event #19 - $1,500 No Limit Texas Hold 'Em
This has become the default event at the World Series of Poker. Contestants included Humberto Brenes, John "the Razor" Phan, Devin Porter, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, Alex Bolotin, Lars Bonding, Shawn Hattem and Francois Safieddine.
Safieddine won the event, collection over a half million dollars. He defeated John Phan heads-up for the bracelet.
Event #20 - Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo 8-or-Better
Ryan Hughes won the final table, which included such names as Doug "Rico" Carli and Greg "Fossilman" Raymer. Raymer put out four of the first five eliminated, amassing the chip lead.
But Hughes fought back, taking pot after pot from Fossilman. Hughes finally eliminated Raymer in 4th, then took the other pro out in 3rd place shortly thereafter.
Event #21 - The $1,500 No Limit Holdem Shootout
The NLHE Shootout features single table eliminations, which lead to the standard final table of 9. This event included Daniel Negreanu, Doug Baughman, Michael Wehner, Thomas Fuller, Don Baruch, Jared Davis, Fred Goldberg and Erick Lindgren.
"Kid Poker" Negreanu finished in 3rd, though he had the chip lead at a point. The event was won by Don Baruch, while Jared Davis finished 2nd.
Event #22 - $5,000 No Limit Holdem
This event got under way, with 84 players remaining after Day 1. The most well-known players in the event are Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Kathy Liebert, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Tex Barch, Scotty Nguyen, Joe Awada and T.J. Cloutier. Jennifer Tilly and Kathy Liebert have amassed large stacks at this point.
Dustin Dirksen has the chip lead, though that could change as we come to "moving day" on Day 2.
