World Series of Poker 2007 - Day 14 Recap

Here's the latest from the World Series of Poker 2007. After three final tables yesterday, the WSOP reloads today. There were no finishes, though events 23 and 24 get under way.
Event #22 - $5,000 No Limit Holdem
Dustin Dirksen came into the day as the chip leader, though he would not survive to the final table. Tex Barch came into Day 2 in 2nd place, though he will enter the final table with the 5th most chips.
Players of note in this event were T.J. Cloutier, Kathy Liebert, Allen Cunningham and Jennifer Tilly.
The final table sits at 2pm Vegas time tomorrow, with three players holding over $1 millin in chips apiece. Karga Holt, James Mackey and Nick Schulman are 1-2-3 in chips.
Event #23 - $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha
This event starts today. It is expected to be a two day event.
A big field joined this tourney. Over 500 players signed up for the Pot Limit Omaha. The field included such names as Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Humberto Brenes, Erik Seidel, Josh Arieh, Marcel Luske, David Ulliot, Freddy Deeb.
Gorden busted out early. He was followed by Michael Mizrachi, Chris Ferguson and Sam Farha, both of whom left before dinner time.
The professional with the best start is Jonny Chan ($116,000), who sits in 4th place after the first day. Scott Clements has the chip lead, with $248,000 in chips.
23 players remain in the event. They will play down to a final table, which will rap up in the evening section tomorrow.
Event #24 - $3,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo World Championship
This event starts today. It is expected to be a three day event.
There were 236 players who entered. Among the stars of this event are Greg Raymer, Marcel Luske, Annie Duke, Mike Matusow, Layne Flack, John Juanda, Chip Reese, Ted Forrest, Phil Ivey, Scotty Nguyen, Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, Daniel Negreanu, Tony G, and Mike Sexton. That's an awfully stout field.
Mike "the Mouth" Matusow left the action to drive to the house and pick up his iPod. It seemed to help. Matusow returned to finish strong on the day and remains in contention.
John Richardson is the chip leader, though Scotty Nguyen stands in 2nd and Marcel Luske is in 5th place. There are 118 players remaining after Day 1.
