Wladimir Klitschko vs. Lamon Brewster - Boxing Results

On Saturday night, IBF and IBO heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitschko looked to avenge his 2004 TKO loss against Lamon Brewster.

FIGHT RESULTS

Klitschko dominated the fight from the opening bell, working his jab under the tutelage of trainer Emanuel Steward. Brewster had no answers for the stiff jab and right hands of the champ, and he found himself rocked by two left-right combinations. He barely survived until the bell, and Brewster’ corner stopped the fight before the start of the seventh.

It was later learned that Klitschko broke his left hand (specifically the middle finger) somewhere during the fight. It was iced after the fight, and the champ is now wearing a cast from his left hand to up past his elbow. It is estimated that it will take eight weeks to heal.

Klitschko improves his record to 49-3 with 44 knockouts, while Brewster drops to 33-4 with 29 knockouts.
