Shanghai Masters - Snooker Odds from Bodog

The 2007/2008 Snooker season is upon us, and it all gets started with first-ever Shanghai Masters tournament. The matches started on August 6th and will run until the final on August 12th. The first ranking event of the season, the Shanghai Masters will take its place alongside tourneys like the Welsh Open, China Open, Grand Prix, UK Championship and Northern Ireland Trophy.

The tournament will take place at the Shanghai Grand Stage in Shanghai, China. The prize money for the event will be around 400,000 British pounds, with the winner receiving in the neighborhood of 48,000.

Sadly for fans of the sport, perennial contender Ronnie O’Sullivan was forced to withdraw from the event after back problems prevented him from traveling or even playing.
