DARE TO PREDICT

So how did I do this week picking against Bodog’s odds? Well, I actually surprised myself by getting 10 correct picks, 3 incorrect picks and 2 pushes. Let’s hope this is the beginning of things to come.

5 OBSERVATIONS

1. The Browns suck. Period.

2. Cadillac Williams just can’t stay healthy. The sooner Gruden realizes this, the better off he’ll be. Of course, he’ll be fired after this season, anyway.

3. It’s going to be a long year for the Falcons. With the Michael Vick cloud still hanging over them, they’re going to have to go out every week and get pounded due to poor play from Joey Harrington. I bet they wish they’d kept Matt Schaub around.

4. For all the hype, the Cowboys defense looked less-than-impressive. Granted, Terrance Newman was out, but Giants looked far better than they should have.

5. After sputtering last year, it looks as though the Panthers may be back. They dominated the Rams and held Steven Jackson to almost nothing. Jake Delhomme also looked in mid-season form.
