OBSERVATIONS

There already speculation that badass runner Darren McFadden may be snatched up by the Raiders with the 4th pick. That sounds about right, as the Raiders took Michael Bush last year, and he should be ready to go in the 2008 season. This is one franchise that just can’t seem to get it right (which explains why prospective head coaches actually seem to avoid taking a job with the Raiders).

Considering they’re undefeated at the moment and Bodog favorites to win the Superbowl, the Patriots are sitting pretty with the 7th pick in the draft. No doubt, they’ll draft another solid role-player who’ll contribute for years to come. They would’ve had two first rounders, but they had to forfeit their other pick due to the Jets filming scandal.

LSU defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey is projected to go to Miami with the first overall pick.

With the Michael Vick mess in the rearview mirror, look for the Falcons to take their (hopeful) franchise quarterback with the 3rd overall pick.

The Cowboys have two picks in the first round (22nd and 29th). Look for that wacky Jerry Jones to make some kind of draft day move.
