NFL Conference Championships - Bodog Odds and Predictions
The NFL Conference Championships are here, and we’re just a few short weeks away from SuperBowl XLII on February 3rd. Before we get to this week’s games, let’s take a look at what went down last weekRESULTS FROM NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS
Giants 21 vs. Cowboys 17
Chargers 28 vs. Colts 24
Jaguars 20 vs. Patriots 31
Seahawks 20 vs. Packers 42
I expected the Packers and Pats to win, but I was sure surprised by the efforts from the Giants and Chargers. It figures, as the Cowboys/Packers and Patriots/Colts would have no doubt been the most compelling games. Oh well, at least Tony Dungy got himself a Lombardi Trophy before he retired.
Norv Turner finally got a playoff win, and Wade Phillips…well, Wade is just gonna have to wait until next year. Talk about a disappointing end to the season for the Cowboys! Of course, that’s what happens when you have to keep playing a team over and over during the season. The Cowboys downed them twice in the regular season, but they just couldn’t secure the hat trick.

BODOG ODDS FOR NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS
Here are the most up-to-date odds from our pals at Bodog:
Chargers +14 ½ @ Patriots -14 ½
Giants +7 ½ @ Packers -7 ½
DARE TO PREDICT
Well, I went 3-1 last week, with only that damned Colts game spoiling a perfect week. Still, that brings my overall season total to 114-101-13. Not too shabby, although I’d still be in the hole if you were factoring in vigorish and the like.
My picks for this week look like this:
Chargers +14 ½ @ Patriots -14 ½
Giants +7 ½ @ Packers -7 ½
I expect the Pack to get the win, but the snow and high winds in Green Bay could turn this one into a defensive struggle. I’m looking for a low-scoring game.
As for the other game, I figure the Chargers used up all their luck against the Colts. Expect the Pats to go wild on them.
