BOMBS EXPLODE IN MYANMAR CASINO

Early Monday at the Golden Triangle Paradise Resort Hotel in Tachilek, Myanmar, four bombs exploded. According to the state-controlled media, there were no injuries. Of course, aliens could have landed and the state-controlled media would deny it.

The blasts went off about 3 a.m. and were situated near the employees’ quarters of the hotel. According to an anonymous source, the blasts appeared to be intended to simply scare patrons and not blow their limbs in a thousand different directions. As of yet, nobody has stepped forward to claim responsibility.

TACHILEK, MYANMAR

Tachilek sits opposite the Thai city of Mae Sai. It is known as a center for heroin and meth smuggling, and it has a history of not-so-peaceful events.

Three bombs exploded last month in a railway station and a circus (who the f*ck blows up a circus?!!), killing two and injuring five others.

Most of this anti-circus behavior can be attributed to Shan rebels who oppose the military government in Myanmar. The country has been under military rule since 1962.

Things have been particularly tense since the government intervened during a peaceful, pro-democracy rally in September. Thousands of protestors were detained, and 31 somehow ended up quite dead.
Hmmm. I think I’m starting to sympathize with the Shan rebels.

On Saturday, members of the opposition contacted the Myanmar press and indicated that “destructionists” had been sent into the country by both internal and external sources. Their goal was to explode bombs and cause panic.

Mission accomplished.
