Chikezie Eze Eliminated on American Idol

Another one bites the dust on American Idol. This time, it was Chikezie Eze. After 30 million viewers voted (the highest number this season), lame-o Ryan Seacrest gathered together this week’s low vote-getters: Eze, Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado. Castro was quickly sent to the Sofa of Safety, leaving Mercado and Eze all alone under the harsh lights of America. Ultimately, it was Eze (who performed “If Only for One Night” this week) who got the boot.

Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson were a little confused as to why Mercado received so few votes, as they had described her performance as “steller” and “perfect.” Simon, on the other hand, said he believed she would end up in the bottom two all along.

Chikezie Eze, by the way, was getting 40/1 odds on Bodog going into this week’s competition. But with nine contestants left, there’s still plenty of time to head over to Bodog and wager on who’ll be this year’s American Idol. Let’s take a look at the most recent betting odds.

AMERICAN IDOL BETTING ODDS

David Archuleta 8/7

Michael Johns 10/1

Carly Smithson 11/1

Ramiele Malubay 25/1

Brooke White 10/1

Jason Castro 16/1

Kristy Lee Cook 100/1

David Cook 5/2

Syesha Mercado 12/1
