The first celeb eliminated was magician Penn Jillette. His dances with partner Kym Johnson earned a combined score of 33 out of 60, making him the low-scoring male.
Ever the comedian, the 53-year-old Jillette joked that he and his partner would continue to practice and planned to perform in the parking lot.
“There’s no way my dance career ends now,” he said.
Minutes later, former tennis pro Monica Seles got the boot. Her dances with partner Jonathan Roberts scored 30 out of 60 points, making her the lowest-scoring celebrity on the show.
After being informed of her elimination, the nine-time Grand Slam champion remarked, “I’m not used to losing.”
When the 6th season of Dancing with the Stars opened, Jillette was getting 25/1 odds to win the competition by Bodog. That later changed to 50/1 before his elimination. Seles, on the other hand, opened at 9/1 odds and then dropped to 25/1 odds.
