UFC 82 Fight Results

Last night, the UFC held their latest pay-per-view event. Entitled UFC 82: Pride of a Champion, the show featured a main event match between Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson to unify the UFC middleweight title and PRIDE welterweight belt.

In a ceremony during the show, UFC legend Marc “The Hammer” Coleman was also inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Coleman was the company’s first heavyweight champion and innovated the style now known as “ground and pound.”

Here‘s a list of the bouts, as well as the winners. Bodog odds have been included, so you can see if your favorite underdog pulled off an upset.

Preliminary Card

Lightweight bout: Jorge Gurgel (-200) vs. John Halverson (+160) - Gurgel wins by unanimous decision.

Welterweight bout: “The Silent Assassin” Luke Cummo (-160) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (+130) - Fioravanti wins by unanimous decision.

Welterweight bout: Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez (-525) vs. David Bielkheden (+325) - Sanchez wins by submission at 4:43 of round one.

Welterweight bout: Josh “Kos” Koscheck (-500) vs. Dustin Hazelett (+300) - Koscheck wins by TKO at 1:24 of round two.

Heavyweight bout: Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski (-385) vs. Jake O'Brien (+260) - Arlovski wins by TKO in the second round.

Main Card

Middleweight bout: Chris “The Crippler” Leben (-165) vs. “Legionarius” Alessio Sakara (+135) - Leben wins by TKO at 3:16 of round one.

Welterweight bout: Jon Fitch (-625) vs. Chris Wilson (+425) - John Fitch wins by unanimous decision.

Middleweight bout: Evan Tanner (+170) vs. Yushin “Thunder” Okami (-220) - Okami wins by KO at 3:00 of round two.

Heavyweight bout: “The Texas Crazy Horse” Heath Herring (+145) vs. “The French Sensation” Cheick Kongo (-175) - Herring wins by split decision.

Middleweight unification bout: Anderson “The Spider” Silva (-170) vs. “Hollywood” Dan Henderson (+130) - Silva wins by submission (rear naked choke) at 4:52 of the second round.
