Is Brett Favre Really Retired? - Bodg Odds

Well, it looks like the speculation over quarterback Brett Favre’s return to the NFL just won’t die. Of course, it doesn’t help that the media keeps poking this story for any sign of life.

And the former Packers’ star seems happy to take the bait. Just check out his most recent statement concerning a return if new starter Aaron Rodgers should get hurt:

“It would be hard to pass up, I guess. But three months from now, say that presents itself, I may say, you know what, I’m so glad I made the decision to retire. I feel very comfortable in what I’m doing and my decision.”

He went on to add, “If that opportunity presented itself and they did call, it would be tempting. And I could very well be enticed to do it.”

Note to Brett Favre: MAKE UP YOUR FRIGGIN’ MIND!

WILL FAVRE RETURN?

Add to the above statement rumors that his agent has been contacting other teams about a possible trade. And don’t forget the fact that Favre has yet to file his retirement papers with the NFL league office. The Packers have to be going nuts, as they’ll clear over $11 million in cap room if the 17-year veteran finally hangs up his cleats.
