2008 WSOP Updates and Winners

We’re now 11 days into the 39th annual World Series of Poker competition, and the action continues to be fast and furious. A total of 13 events have concluded, and another four are currently underway. In all, there will be 55 events played and millions of dollars in winnings paid out.

And don’t forget, this year’s Main Event will be different than ever before. When only nine competitors remain to fill the final table (dubbed the “November Nine”), the Main Event will be suspended until November. It will resume at that time and be aired live on ESPN.

While everyone waits for the WSOP Main Event, there are plenty of other intriguing matches to keep an eye on. In case you missed them, we’ll be listing the winners of the first 13 events, including the amount of money they won. We’ll also tell you which events are underway, and what’s coming up in the days ahead. All you have to do is keep reading.
