Bodog's Mini Series of Poker - BodogLife Online Poker

The World Series of Poker is underway in Las Vegas, but you can get involved in the Mini Series of Poker right from the comfort of your own living room. Thanks to Bodog, this mini poker tournament allows players to have a shot at a 2009 WSOP prize package, including a spot on Team Bodog (which includes such players as Evelyn Ng and David Williams).

The mini-tournament lasts from May 30th until July 3rd, and you can get in on the action at any time. What’s really nice is that the entry fee is about 1% of what it would cost to play in the World Series of Poker.

HOW THE MINI SERIES OF POKER WORKS

The top 30% of participants in each tournament will earn points based on how well they finished. These points will be added together to determine a player’s overall ranking, so the more you win, the better chance you’ll have of advancing in the BodogLife poker tournament.

A semifinal match will then be held for players ranked 5th through 100th, and the finals will include the top four players on the leader board, top 18 players from the semi-finals and five “wild card” spots selected randomly from players who entered three or more tournaments.

The top three players will win a trip to the 2009 WSOP in Vegas, while places 4 through 9 will win $109 in cash.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The tournament is only open to players 21 and older. You must also have a current Bodog account in order to participate. Actually, that can be done by clicking on this link to Bodog.

One entry per person. Anyone caught trying to enter under more than one name will be disqualified.

Prizes are nontransferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed.

The total value of all prizes offered is $36,654. Each winner is responsible for all state, local and federal taxes.

The buy-ins for the tournament range from $10+$1 to $100+$9.
