2008 NFL Divisional Champions - Bodog Odds

The 2008 NFL Season officially begins on September 4th, when the defending champion New York Giants take on the Washington Redskins. While some teams will remain consistently strong, there will no doubt be a few that go belly-up this season. On the other hand, there’s bound to be a few underdog teams that come out of nowhere and make a run for the title.

In case you’re wondering, here’s a list of last season’s NFL division winners:

AFC East winners - New England Patriots (16-0) - Also won the division from 2003 thru 2006.

AFC West winners - San Diego Chargers (11-5) - Also won the division in 2006.

AFC North winners - Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) - The Steelers finished 8-8 in 2006.

AFC South winners - Indianapolis Colts (13-3) - Won the division from 2003 thru 2006.

NFC North winners - Green Bay Packers (13-3) - Packers finished 8-8 in 2006.

NFC South winners - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7) - Bucs were 4-12 in 2006.

NFC East winners - Dallas Cowboys (13-3) - Cowboys finished second in 2006 behind the Eagles.

NFC West winners - Seattle Seahawks (10-6) - Won the division in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
