Iran is World Leader in Online Gambling!

The results are in, and the winners of the title of “Biggest Gamblers in Asia” may surprise you. No, it’s not the Chinese or even the Japanese or Koreans. It is, in fact, the good citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Of course, this may come as a particular surprise if you suck at geography and didn‘t know Iran was considered part of Asia.

This survey was carried out by an online gambling site, and the numbers were determined by calculating the ratio of gamblers and skill players to the actual population of the country. They also factored in the amount of money spent by citizens for online gambling. When the results were tabulated, the following percentages were arrived at:

Iran 23%

China 14%

Japan 13.5%

The Indian subcontinent 10.5%

Thailand 9.5%

Russia 8%

South Korea 6.4%

Indonesia 5.2%

Kuwait 4%

United Arab Emirates 3.2%

Lebanon 2.7%

European Results

In Europe, Britain came in first place, followed by Romania, France, Italy and Ireland.
