Bodog Casino Download - BodogLife Software Download

Downloading Bodog casino software to your computer couldn’t be easier. In literally a few minutes, you’ll be able to install everything needed for hours worth of thrilling online casino action. And just in case you don’t believe me, let’s take an in-depth look at the process to prove my point.

INSTANT PLAY CASINO

To utilize the Instant Play Casino on your computer, all you need is Flash 8. While this casino only offers a limited number of games compared to the standard Bodog casino download, it’s still ultra-fast and ultra-fun.

To begin, make sure that your screen resolution is set to 600x800. Next, click on the Bodog Casino tab, and you’ll see the screen divided into two sections. The left side of the screen is where the games take place, and the right side allows you to choose options like playing for fun or playing for money.

In order to play for money in the Instant Play Casino, first select your favorite game on the right-hand side. Then select the Real Money option listed underneath it. After that, all you’ll have to do is sign in with your Bodog account (or quickly create an account), and you’ll be all set to gamble with your very own money.

When you’re done gaming, you’ll be able to send some or all of your chips back to your Bodog account. The rest can be quickly and easily transferred to you by selecting the “Cashout Chips” option. Have I mentioned that Bodog is highly respected for their ability to quickly process cashouts? You’ll be counting your cash at home in no time at all.

BODOG CASINO DOWNLOAD

By getting the full BodogLife software download, you’ll be able to enjoy more than 60 casino games on your computer screen. Here are just a few examples of what’s available:

16-bit (high color)

Windows 2000 or XP (Vista will also work)

200MHz processor

64MB of RAM

At least 100MB of free disk space

Sound card (if you desire audio)

According to the Bodog website, most computers sold in the past five years will meet these minimum system requirements.

INSTALLING BODOG SOFTWARE FOR THE FIRST TIME

If you’re ready to install Bodog software, all you have to do is click on one of the many “Download” buttons scattered all over the site. Or, you can just click on the blue Bodog link located in this article.

Next, you’ll need to click “run this program from its current location” or “open.” An install window will then appear, and you’ll need to follow the prompts to select a default location for the file. Once the installation process is completed, you’ll be ready to play. From then on, all you’ll have to do is double-click the Bodog icon installed on your desktop. What could be easier?

After downloading the software, you’ll be able to play for money or just practice for free. If you have any trouble accessing the software, just make sure that any firewalls on your computer aren’t blocking the connection.

Otherwise, all that's left to do is enjoy the thrill of winning big at the casino!

ELITE XC - BODOG ODDS
Currently, Bodog is offering odds on six of the matches. Check back often, as more fights may be offered closer to the show. The maximum bet on each fight is $500.

Gina Carano -350 vs. Kaitlin Young +275

Phil Baroni -105 vs. Joey Villas nor -125

Brett Rogers -280 vs. Jon Murphy +220

Carlton Haselrig -200 vs. Carlos Moreno +160

Kimbo Slice -600 vs. James Thompson +400

Robbie Lawler -250 vs. Scott Smith +200

KIMBO SLICE VS. JAMES THOMPSON

The most intriguing bout of this EliteXC card, from a betting perspective, is the main event between Kimbo Slice (real name Kevin Ferguson) and England’s James Thompson. While Kimbo is a -600 favorite, his three fights so far have been very quick affairs. He submitted boxer Ray Mercer in 1 minute 12 seconds with a guillotine choke, knocked out Bo Cantrell in only 19 seconds and put down Tank Abbott in 43 seconds. All together, he’s had 2 minutes and 14 seconds of MMA experience in three fights. Certainly, Kimbo made a name for himself as a street fighter prior to his latest career, but street fighting isn’t exactly MMA.

James Thompson is a +400 underdog, and he’s coming off of two straight losses, with a record of 2-6 in his last eight fights. The massive Thompson is a big puncher, and he traditionally charges straight at his opponents when the bell rings, something his Japanese fans have dubbed “Gong and Dash.” But despite his recent setbacks, Thompson is a dangerous fighter. He’s defeated such men as Don Frye, Hidehiko Yoshida and Dan Severn. Not surprisingly, the majority of his wins have come by KO or TKO (which is essentially the same in MMA, as there’s no count when a fighter goes down).

Everybody knows that Thompson was brought in to be a perfect match for Kimbo’s style. He’s big, comes straight forward and has a questionable chin. But Thompson has also been training with Randy Couture, so he might just have a trick or two up his sleeve. Granted, Kimbo is hardly lacking when it comes to talented trainers, as he’s been working with Bas “El Guapo” Rutten since entering the MMA world.

Thompson has claimed that he’s going to take Kimbo to the ground and see what he’s made of, but only time will tell if The Colossus can resist a stand-up battle against Slice. This should be an interesting (and probably quick) fight, but bettors looking for a good opportunity should take a long, hard look at the +400 Thompson. He’s bigger than Kimbo, stronger than Kimbo and has knockout power equal to Kimbo. Like a boxing match between two sluggers, this one may come down to who gets in the first punch.

Bodog Fantasy Football - BodogLife Fantasy Sports

If you’re a fan of fantasy football, fantasy baseball or fantasy basketball, be sure and check out the Bodog fantasy sports section. You can play for bragging rights against your friends in a private league, or you can enter a public league and vie for all sorts of prizes. And the best news of all is that signing up is absolutely free!

BODOG FANTASY - COOL FEATURES

The BodogLife fantasy sports website is loaded with all kinds of cool features. Here’s just a sample of what you can expect.

Article Ticker - As new fantasy sports articles are written, they’ll show up immediately on the ticker. That way, you’ll have a jump on the rest of the fantasy sports competition out there.

News Ticker - Bodog offers up-to-the-minute news and information for the NFL, MLB and NBA. If it’s happening, you can bet that Bodog will be reporting it. It’s an excellent way to keep up with trades, injuries and free agency moves.

My Leagues - If you’re in a number of different leagues, it can often be difficult to keep up with them all. That’s why Bodog offers a handy feature which lists all your fantasy leagues in one convenient place. No more fumbling about trying to find what you’re looking for; Bodog has got you covered.

Bodog Fantasy Girls - The only things better than fantasy sports are fantasy girls. That’s why Bodog offers a free gallery of the hottest models around. When you’ve completed that blockbuster trade for Adrian Peterson, why not reward yourself by checking out the likes of Olya, Amy and Stacey? There’s even steamy wallpaper available for your desktop.

Fantasy Forum - Whether you need advice on your starting roster, or you just want to brag about last week’s decisive victory, the Bodog Fantasy Forum has got you covered. You’ll literally be able to interact with fantasy players like yourself from all over the globe.

BODOG FANTASY LEAGUES

Now that you’ve seen some of the cool features available, let’s take a look at the wide variety of fantasy leagues offered by Bodog.

Fantasy Baseball Head to Head League - During a live draft, you’ll stock your fantasy baseball team with the best players in the MLB. Each week, you’ll then be matched up against another fantasy team. The team who scores the most points will be declared the winner. There are a number of scoring categories (batting, pitching, fielding, etc.), and your team’s score can be determined in three different ways. During the season, you can also show off your baseball knowledge by making trades with other players in your league.

Fantasy Baseball Rotisserie League - Like the league above, you start by drafting a team full of MLB stars. But instead of head-to-head matches each week, you’ll be playing everyone in your league at the same time. You’ll gain points based on each stat category, and the team with the best overall ranking at the end of the season will win the league.

MLB Pick’em - In this game, all you have to do is correctly pick the winners of each MLB game. The better you do, the higher your score will be. There’s also the option of including a confidence rating, which means you assign a high number to games you’re certain about and a low number to closer contests. If you pick correctly, the confidence points are added to your score.

NFL Pick’em Leagues - Each week, you’ll be asked to select the winners of the various NFL games. You can start a private fantasy football league for you and your buddies or just join one of Bodog’s private leagues. Four types of scoring options are available:

- Spread or No Spread (pick winners against the point spread)

- Straight (just pick the winners straight up)

- Confidence or Non-Confidence (as above, the higher confidence rating is assigned to sure things)

- Spread and Confidence (combine the two for a real challenge)

NFL Head to Head Leagues - Draft a Bodog fantasy football team and take on a different owner in your league every week. Trades are allowed, and private leagues can accommodate up to 32 teams. In the private leagues, you can even decide on your own scoring system.

NFL Playoff Pick’em Prize League - From January 5th to February 3rd, participants will be able to pick against the spread for NFL playoff games. There are public leagues to compete in, or you and your friends can start a private league. Last year’s top prize was a trip for two to Las Vegas.

NFL Mock Drafts - If you want to get a feel for how this year’s fantasy draft may go, why not try out a mock draft? As always, Bodog offers both public and private leagues.

NFL Survivor Leagues - This fantasy league doesn’t allow trades or free agents, and the lowest scoring team each week gets eliminated. The winner is the last team remaining. A true test of your drafting abilities, this one is for hardcore fantasy football fans.

College Bowl Pick’em Prize League - Pick against the spread for the college bowl games from December 20th to January 7th. If you’re the grand prize winner, you’ll walk away with $100,000 in cash. The next prize isn’t too shabby either, as it offers a trip for two to the NFL Draft, plus $500 in spending money.

March Madness - When March Madness rolls back around, you can bet that Bodog will have another fantasy competition available. Last year, the site offered a $1 million prize to anyone who filled out a perfect bracket.

NBA Pick’em Leagues - Each week, pick the winners of 15 NBA games. This can be done with or without confidence points. Even thought the NBA season is about over, this competition will certainly be offered again next year.

So there you have it. Bodog has almost a dozen leagues available to fantasy fanatics year-round. Whatever the sport, they’ve got a fantasy competition to cover it. Oh, and don’t forget about Bodog’s sportsbook and online casino. If you think the free fantasy section is fun, then you’re in for a big surprise.

UFC 84 - Betting Odds from Bodog and Predictions

On Saturday, May 24th, the UFC will hold their latest event. Entitled UFC 84: Ill Will, this star-studded card will feature the long-awaited showdown between BJ Penn and Sean Sherk, as well as the return of Tito Ortiz. Wanderlei Silva will also be in action. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 84 - FULL CARD

(Welterweight) Jon Copenhagen +140 vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida -170

(Heavyweight) Shane Carwin -200 vs. Christian Wellisch +160

(Welterweight) Jason Tan +250 vs. Dong Hyun Kim -325

(Middleweight) Ivan Salaverry -150 vs. Rousimar Palhares +120

(Light Heavyweight) Rameau Sokoudjou -265 vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura +205

(Lightweight) Rich Clementi -260 vs. Terry Etim +200

(Light Heavyweight) Wilson Gouveia -140 vs. Goran Reljic +110

(Light Heavyweight) Thiago Silva -800 vs. Antonio Mendes +500

(Light Heavyweight) Wanderlei Silva -200 vs. Keith Jardine +160

(Light Heavyweight) Lyoto Machida -220 vs. Tito Ortiz +170

(Lightweight Title) BJ Penn -250 vs. Sean Sherk +200

WHO TO BET ON

Looking over the odds from Bodog, there are three fights which really stand out as good betting opportunities.

First off, there’s Rameau Sokoudjou versus Kazuhiro Nakamura. With only six fights under his belt, Sokoudjou still has a lot to learn. His reputation has been boosted by underdog wins over Ricardo Arona and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. His last fight, however, was a loss against Lyoto Machida. As a -265 favorite, one has to wonder if he’ll be able to shake off the loss. It should also be noted that his record is 4-2, so he’s hardly invincible. His opponent has also lost to Machida, and Nakamura has a less-than-impressive 11-7 record. Still, Sokoudjou is still unproven in my book and could be upset by the +205 underdog. Not likely, but it’s worth a look.

The second match you might want to wager on is Wanderlei Silva taking on Keith Jardine. For some reason, Silva is a -200 favorite, despite the fact that he’s 5-5 in his last 10 fights and 0-3 in his last three. He most recently lost to Chuck Liddell, a fighter that his opponent has beaten by decision. I like Silva a lot, but he’s reaching the end of his career and takes a lot of punishment these days. Jardine is younger, stronger, and was able to neutralize the big punching power of Liddell. Expect him to do the same against Silva and eventually knock him out. Jardine is a good bet at +160.

Finally, there’s Lyoto Machida against Tito Ortiz. Machida is a -220 favorite over the former UFC champion. While Machida is undefeated at 12-0, he’s beaten Sokoudjou, Nakamura, Vernon White, Sam Hoger, etc. Ortiz, on the other hand, has been in the cage with the likes of Couture, Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Wanderlei Silva, Evan Tanner and Vitor Belfort. I don’t see any scenario where Ortiz just lays back. I imagine he’ll pressure Machida like he’s never been pressured before. Since this is the last fight on his UFC contract, I figure Tito will want to notch an impressive win. Considering his problems with Dana White, this could possibly be the last time we see The Huntington Beach Bad Boy in the UFC. With his experience and heart, Ortiz is a good bet at +170.

Battlestar Galactica - Betting Odds for the Fifth Cylon

If you’re a fan of Battlestar Galactica, then you know the identity of the “5th Cylon” is the subject of much Internet gossip and speculation. Last season, four members of the Earthen government and military were revealed to by Cylons, and the show’s creators have promised one last surprise before the series end for good later this year.

BETTING ON THE FIFTH CYLON

A gambling site based in Costa Rica, BetCRIS.com, is allowing gamblers from around to place their wager on the latest unwitting infiltrator. To make sure someone affiliated with the show doesn’t clean up, they’re monitoring bets closely and limiting them to $25 per wager. Still, it’s an excellent opportunity for Galactica fans to put their theories to the test.

Of course, you can also check out Bodog’s sportsbook for all manner of entertainment prop bets, including the latest misadventures of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

THE SUSPECTS

Here’s who you can vote on as the fifth Cylon:

Aaron Kelly (5 to 4)

Diana “Hardball” Seelix (33 to 20)

Tom Zarek (23 to 20)

Anastasia Dualla (4 to 5)

Felix Gaeta (3 to 2)

Brendan “Hot Dog” Costanza (2 to 1)

Margaret “Racetrack” Edmondson (9 to 4)

The Field (any other character) (2 to 7)

WHO TO BET ON?

So who’s the best bet? Well, I can say with absolute confidence that the winning bet is going to be “The Field.” Why?

After building up the suspense over the fifth Cylon, it would be an awful letdown if it was just some minor crew member. For that reason, you can eliminate pilots like Seelix, Edmondson and Costanza. Tom Zarek is shady, but having him be a Cylon wouldn’t really have that much of an impact. The same goes for Anastasia Dualla, the current odds-on favorite. Sure, she’s married to Apollo, but her character mainly exists to nag. Other than that, she’s worthless.

Betting the field gives you options like Admiral Adama, Baltar, President Roslin and Starbuck. It seems to me that writers almost have to have the fifth Cylon be a major character. Otherwise, the big mystery is kind of hollow.

Personally, my pick is Apollo. He’s Adama’s son. He’s been lovers with Starbuck. He’s now a politician and could quickly find himself as President under the right circumstances. If the fifth Cylon is supposed to bring the humans and Cylons together in peace, then I’m betting that Lee Adama (aka Apollo) is the one.

David Cook Is American Idol Winner!

The seventh season of American Idol finally came to a conclusion the other night, and David Cook was crowned the winner of the competition. 97.5 million votes were cast, and Cook picked up 56% to defeat 17-year-old David Archuleta.

While Archuleta was favored by oddsmakers throughout much of the season, Cook came on down the stretch. Coming into this week, Bodog actually had Cook the favorite (-250) over “Archie” (+170).

Before auditioning for the show, Cook worked as a bartender. He originally attended the auditions to lend moral support to his brother, but one of the show’s producers talked him into trying out as well. The rest, as they say, is history.

As the credits rolled, a stunned Cook sang “Time of My Life.” If he thinks he’s had the time of his life, he ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Stratosphere Casino Refuses To Pay Winning Sports Bet

From time to time, an employee will make a boneheaded move that really makes his or her place of business look bad. That’s what happened in the case of Michael Shackleford vs. the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

Shackleford, by the way, is a gambling consultant, author and former adjunct professor at UNLV. He also owns Wizard of Odds, one of the most respected gambling sites on the Internet. Since this gives him an unlimited platform to blast the Stratosphere for their behavior, it’s safe to say that the offending employee behaved like a Grade-A dumbass.

BETTING ON OKLAHOMA STATE

On September 20th, Shackleford placed a wager with the sports betting department at the Stratosphere. He bet $1,000 on Oklahoma State to defeat Texas Tech. Oklahoma State were +190 underdogs, so the winning ticket should have paid off $2,900.

TRYING TO COLLECT

On January 26th, Shackleford went to the Stratosphere to collect his winnings, despite the fact that the ticket stub said that bets were valid for 60 days following the event.

In the past, it has been tradition for a casino to honor a sports betting ticket, regardless of when the bet was made. In fact, Shackleford himself once took expired slot machine tickets to various casinos as an experiment for his website. They all paid. He’s also had expired sports betting tickets accepted by four different casinos on the Las Vegas strip.

But Patrick Rethore wasn’t having any of that.

You see, Patrick Rethore is the sports book manager for the Stratosphere. In a later statement, this customer service genius claimed, “I informed (Shackleford) that the sports tickets are good for 60 days and his ticket was 126 days old and we would not pay him. I showed him the back of the ticket, which clearly states how long the tickets are good for. He asked for the phone number of Gaming and I gave it to him.”

Smooth move, Ex-lax.

THE BATTLE BEGINS

Shackleford then filed a complaint with the state’s Gaming Control Board. According to the pissed-off gambling expert, “I plan to fight this until the day I die.”

But he also admits that the case may go against him, as the Stratosphere was technically following the agreed-upon gaming laws of Nevada.

THE PLOT THICKENS

During an April 2nd hearing, it was revealed that Stratosphere customers actually have 120 days to redeem a ticket instead of the 60-day-limit listed on Shackleford’s ticket. The casino’s defense? They had several rolls of the incorrect ticket stock on hand, and it wouldn’t have been cost effective to reprint new tickets.

Wow. The Stratosphere just keeps looking better and better.

Shackleford astutely pointed out that any customers bearing a misprinted 60-day ticket may have just been turned away, when their tickets were, in fact, still valid.

It was later learned that the Stratosphere had been issuing tickets with an incorrect date for THREE YEARS.

For now, the case is still ongoing. But how much damage has been done to The Stratosphere’s reputation? Certainly more that $2,900.

Syesha Mercado Eliminated On American Idol

Virtually nobody was surprised when Syesha Mercado got eliminated last week on American Idol. In doing so, the field was narrowed down to just two participants - David Archuleta and David Cook.

Even Mercado seemed to believe it was inevitable. “I had a feeling I was going home,” she said. “Especially after the bad commentary I got for the two songs I did.”

Both Paula Abdul and the evil genius Simon Cowell thought Syesha made a mistake by choosing to perform the song “Fever” last Tuesday night.

And according to Syesha, she was in total agreement with the judges.

“I had other choices in mind, but I couldn’t do them,” she said. Which, of course, leads to the question: Why wasn’t Syesha allowed to perform the songs she wanted to?

I’m betting that Al Sharpton knows.

AMERICAN IDOL - BODOG ODDS

So now it’s David vs. David in the finals. A look over at Bodog shows the current odds to be:

David Archuleta +170

David Cook -250

I find the above odds to be interesting, as most people felt teenybopper Archuleta had the competition won from the very first show. Suddenly, that no longer seems to be the case. If I were looking for a nice underdog, I wouldn’t mind going with the guy who was favored for months.

Marissa Jaret Winokur Eliminated From Dancing With the Stars

There are only three contestants remaining, as perky Marissa Jaret Winokur was finally shown the door last week on Dancing With the Stars. Like everyone who was eliminated before, Winokur bowed out with a graceful attitude. Dance partner Tony Dovolani said of her, “I wish everybody could carry a little Marissa around with them.”

THE FINAL THREE

Jason Taylor - While some folks find his partner, Edyta Sliwinska, to be a bit cold, there’s no denying the charm of Taylor. The NFL defensive end has shown some smooth moves on the dance floor, and he’s undoubtedly one of the best male dancers in the history of the show. If Emmitt Smith could do it, then why not Taylor?

Kristi Yamaguchi - She’s still the favorite to win in the eyes of most people. With her competitive attitude and background as a figure skater, Yamaguchi seems destined to capture this year’s title. But stranger things have happened, and each couple is only one mistake away from elimination.

Cristian de la Fuente - After injuring his bicep muscle a few weeks ago, de la Fuente has basically been forced to perform with only one arm. Partner Cheryl Burke has choreographed their routines with this thought in mind, and the couple has actually seemed to improve in subsequent weeks. Still, you have to wonder how long they can keep it going?

DANCING WITH THE STARS - BODOG ODDS

According to Bodog, the current odds on the competition are:

Cristian de la Fuente 15/1

Jason Taylor 9/4

Kristi Yamaguchi 1/3

And here’s an update on which gender will walk away with the championship:

Male +250

Female -400

Since there are two male contestants remaining and only one woman, this is looking like a nice little betting opportunity.

Jason Castro Eliminated From American Idol

Last night, American Idol whittled its number down to three. The victim this time around was Jason Castro, the dreadlocked 21-year-old who botched both Bob Marley and Bob Dylan in recent weeks. In all, over 51 million votes were cast this week, making that the season high.

The strain was beginning to wear on Castro, and he admitted as much in an interview. “Everything was all off,” he said. “I did not want to go home. But at the same time, now that it happened, I’m kind of glad. It all worked out like it was supposed to. I was reaching the point where I couldn’t do it anymore. I wasn’t able to keep up, and it all caught up with me.”

THE FINAL THREE

That leaves frontrunner David Archuleta, David Cook and Syesha Mercado. While everyone expects Archuleta to win, grinning idiot Ryan Seacrest made sure to point out that only 1 million votes separated the remaining three contestants. In other words, it’s still anybody’s game.

BODOG ODDS

There’s still time to support your favorite singer over at Bodog. The oddsmakers still like Archuleta, just like they have all season, but you could make a nice chunk of change by going with underdog Mercado.

Mario Eliminated from Dancing With the Stars

Dancing With the Stars celebrated their 100th episode the other night, but R&B singer Mario wasn’t exactly in a celebrating mood after being eliminated from the show. The 21-year-old star and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, were sent packing after earning 53 out of 60 points for a Viennese waltz and jive on Monday. The couple finished in third place on the judges’ scorecards.

Cristian de la Fuente hung in there after rupturing a tendon in his bicep last week, and he and partner Cheryl Burke finished with the top score. After getting dropped on her head last week, Burke choreographed this week’s routine to allow the Chilean actor to use his good arm. It worked like a charm.

BODOG ODDS

With only four contestants remaining, the action over at Bodog is fast and furious. The maximum bet is $50, but there’s still plenty of time to pick up a few extra bucks for the summer.

Cristian de la Fuente 25/1

Jason Taylor 7/4

Kristi Yamaguchi 4/13

Marissa Jaret Winokur 50/1

Britney Spears in Court - Bodog Betting Odds

In a court ruling today, Britney Spears will be allowed to spend more time with her kids. While it’s unclear how much of an increase was granted, ex-husband Kevin Federline’s lawyer referred to it as “an expansion of time.”

Spears has shown improvement since leaving a psychiatric ward three months ago. She has spent more time with family members and even guest-starred on television’s How I Met Your Mother. Her acting gig was well-received, and she’s scheduled to make another appearance on the show in the coming months.

Prior to her stay at in the psych ward, Spears was seemingly spiraling out of control. Her visitation time with her children had been greatly reduced, and she appeared to be an emotional wreck. Until a July 31st hearing, her father and lawyer have been granted legal control of her affairs.

Her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, have been thrilled with Britney’s progress. During the hearing, the pop princess smiled slightly and held her mother’s hand, and she even appeared teary-eyed at one point.

BRITNEY SPEARS BETTING ODDS

Bodog always has plenty of Britney Spears betting odds, and this week is no exception. Check out the latest prop bet centered around the ultra-hot singer:

Casino Gambling Coming to Jamaica?

For those of you planning a vacation to Jamaica, there’s an all-new reason to celebrate. The nation’s government recently decided to permit investors to open the country’s first land-based casino. This may also lead to online gambling becoming legal in the country. Break out the ganja, mon!

First up will be the Montego Bay, St. James; a new hotel and casino which will be the largest on the island. This facility will no doubt draw in tourists by the thousands, but it will also employ a large number of Jamaican residents. It is estimated that it might have as many as four-thousand rooms.

At the moment, slot machines are allowed on the island, and a number of slots lounges dot the vacation paradise. The government hopes that adding casinos will greatly boost tourism and pump much-needed funds into the economy.

Of course, you won’t have to wait for a casino to be constructed over at Bodog. A leading online casino and sports book, Bodog offers every kind of casino game that you might ever want to play.

Brooke White Eliminated from American Idol

Wednesday night was the end of the road for Brooke White on American Idol. Joining Syesha Mercado in the bottom two, the blonde songstress was best known for her tearful outbursts during the show, like last week when she had messed up a song and had to start over.

This week, Neil Diamond was the guest mentor. White sang “I’m a Believer” and “I Am I Said.” Simon Cowell called her first performance “a nightmare” but then complimented her on the second, saying, “This is the Brooke we like.”

After White received news of her elimination, she performed “I Am I Said” as her goodbye song. During the performance, she once again broke out in tears and ran off the stage.

PAULA GOES CRAZY…AGAIN

On Tuesday night, Paula made another of her famous goofs. Contestants usually sing two songs before judges critique them, but there was a last-minute change in plans, and judges critiqued the singers after each song. After Jason Castro performed his first song, he went before the judges. Paula Abdul gave him a negative review for his two songs, but he had only performed one at this point.

She’s gotta be on something.

BODOG ODDS FOR AMERICAN IDOL

Only four contestants remain: David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook and Syesha Mercado. Next week’s theme will be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, so be sure and check out the latest odds from Bodog. Not surprisingly, David Archuleta is still favored to win the competition.

Shannon Elizabeth Eliminated from Dancing With the Stars

After a nice run on Dancing With the Stars, 34-year-old actress and poker player, Shannon Elizabeth, is going home. Also eliminated was her partner, Derek Hough.

“The show has been amazing. I’ve learned a lot,” said Elizabeth.

Hough said he “couldn’t have asked for more” from a dance partner, lovingly referring to Elizabeth as “a big dork.”

The couple’s dances on Monday earned 51 out of 60 points, and their elimination broke a three-week trend of the lowest scorers being eliminated. That honor went to Cristian de la Fuente after he injured his arm during a performance and dropped partner Cheryl Burke to the floor. He was then rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a ruptured tendon in his bicep.

While he needs surgery, de la Fuente hopes to put it off and keep performing. “If people voted for us and they would like us to be on the show, I would like to continue and not give up.”

DANCING WITH THE STARS - BODOG ODDS

Only five couples remain, and Bodog has the latest odds on who will win it all.

Cristian de la Fuente 40/1

Jason Taylor 2/1

Kristi Yamaguchi 4/11

Mario 10/1

Marissa Jaret Winokur 40/1

Oscar De la Hoya vs. Steve Forbes - Betting Odds from Bodog

Saturday, May 3rd, Oscar De la Hoya will be returning to his hometown of Los Angeles to take on former IBF super featherweight champion Steve “Two Pounds” Forbes (33-5).

OSCAR DE LA HOYA

De la Hoya has stated that he would like to fight twice after this match. The first would be a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr., and the last fight of his career would be in December of 2008 against an unnamed opponent. No doubt, the De la Hoya camp is hoping that he can pull off a win against Mayweather and set up their third match as “The Golden Boy’s” last.

In interviews, De la Hoya has stated that he is not looking past Forbes. According to De la Hoya, “He is a dangerous customer, he has a tricky style.” Forbes has never been stopped in a fight.

STEVE FORBES

Forbes realizes that he’s an underdog, but he’s beginning to tire of the dismissive attitude of fans and critics. “I’m an underdog, I understand that. But the more I see and read, it’s like I never put on boxing gloves before, like I only started boxing yesterday.”

Forbes vows to give his best, stating that people have been counting him out since he was born. His nickname, “Two Pounds,” is a reference to his birth weight. Born prematurely, doctors did not expect him to live.

BODOG ODDS

Bodog is offering odds on the fight, and here’s how they currently stand:

Oscar De la Hoya -2000

Steve Forbes +1000

Total rounds for the fight?

Over 9 ½ -325

Under 9 ½ +250
